I'm b-a-a-a-c-k...

Wow! I have SO many emails and posts to read I don't know where to start!

This week I was away at camp with about 200 7th-9th graders. Josh's school has this camp the first week of school every year. It gets the 7th graders to know each other and the older kids to talk and catch up about summer without disturbing their school work. Since the school doesn't have a Health class, they cover this requirement during camp.

There's no cell phone service, televisions, actually nothing electronic, out there and it's wonderfully freeing and relaxing. The camp counselors (wonderful Juniors and Seniors) do just about everything, and the parents are really just there to keep an eye out for problems and ensure everyone's safe. The setting is beautiful and I got a whole lot of exercise my body is not used to. Back to the gym on Monday, for sure.

  1. That is a beautiful photo... it reminds me of going to camp every summer. Yea for the aching muscles! You've got a head-start on the gym.

  5. Paradise!

A friend of mine, her son recently went on the same kind of trip with his school. They call it Team Building or something like that. I think it's such a great idea!
