Something Practical

Wow! Thanks for all the kind comments about my little pincushion yesterday! I wish I could personally thank each person, but there's that email issue again...
I'm actually in the process of switching over to Wordpress and running the blog on my own server. It's a long and time consuming process however, so I don't know when this will happen.

Yesterday I made something practical. Not pretty, just practical. And, thanks to my rush to get it done, I measured once, cut twice, and sewed about four times.

Two potholders - three hours!!!

    I've had to do similar things when I'm in too much hurry. However, I think your potholders are cute--those little bees are so adorable and I like the way you have the contrast print fabric situated. I would count this as a lovely success and I appreciate your sharing your project.

    They are pretty as well as practical. I hate it when I have those kind of sewing days. But your end product is looking good.

    Your bloghead is totally different, very Autumny! I love your potholders. I bought the bee-fabric last week. It’s nice to the combination with the little dots fabric.

    At least you stuck with it...usually when I have to restart a project...I become a bit frustrated and want to head for the hills...or at least another project...love the bees...too cute...and with the brown dots....even better!

    Beautiful!!! I am putting together my list of Christmas items for my siblings and their families and the them this year is "In the Kitchen" so they are getting an apron, discloth, potholders, a jar of apple butter (grandmas recipe), a bag of egg noodles (modified grandmas recipe), and a jar of either quick bread mix or cookie mix.

    The potholders look wonderful!

    It is a long process switching isn't it... My hubby got everything so that I can have my old posts & comments on wordpress (the import doesn't work for me, because my blog is an ftp blog & not blogger hosted...) Now he just needs to make me a pretty template... I was going to use an already made one by someone else & just customize it, but it wasn't that great so I get my own:)
