I love Rainier cherries. They just have a better taste and texture than normal old Bings. The only problem is that they generally cost an arm and a leg. They are truly a Washington State original though and I get at least one pound every season to savor slowly.

ReplyDeleteI've never tasted one but they sure look both beautiful and delicious!
ReplyDeleteThose are my absolute farorite fruit! My husband's been halving them for my favorite salad (recipe is on my site someplace) and they are sooooooooo good.

What delicious looking cherries!
ReplyDeleteI love Rainier cherries too. Go Washington!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, is that how they look when they are ripe? I've seen them in the supermarket but I've never bought them - I always thought they looked sour!
ReplyDeleteMnn. I grew up in your neck of the country. You're making me homesick. I LOVED going to the old Tacoma Boys as a child and being completely overwhelmed the possibilities. Mnnn.. And these were a possibility my mom always took home.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite too!!!
