Ta Da!

Here she is. My Amy Butler patchwork bag from this book. The weather is atrocious today, so the photos are not what I would have hoped for.


The lining is a wonderful matching fabric I found at Joann's. I could hardly believe my luck.

I "only" broke two needles in the process and got the seam allowances wrong, but I'm very happy with this. Do click on the images if you want to see more detail.

    I love that bag... the shape, fabric, your sewing! I just ordered that book from Amazon. It's supposed to be here tomorrow. Can't wait to look through it and drool. I love your lining fabric. You are a talented gal!

    holy crap, we just posted about the same thing!!! haha. I had no idea. I love love love love yours. You make me want to try to make it again!! Seriously, I'm doing it right after I get off this computer.

    I kept sewing 1/4 seam allowances and it was driving me nuts. I totally love all the fabrics. :)

    Cute bag! I love it when I come across the perfect lining. That fabric really works with the AB fabrics.

    how hard was it? did you use sew in interfacing? give me the details b/c i really want to make it, but when i read the pattern it looked difficult. thanks, anina.
