...why I don't make clothes.
The fabric was extremely slippery, which caused the pattern pieces to be cut out rather inaccurately, which resulted in a lot of seam ripping and swearing talking in an angry tone of voice. And then there are those two dark splotches which just happened to end up quite symmetrically on the front of my chest. Fortunately they look worse on the photo, and because I keep staring at them, than in "real life".

I think the top is really cute. The dark spots are off-centered by another one on the lower front. Wear it in happiness!

I think it looks great. wouldn't have noticed the dark spots issue except that you pointed it out.x
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I want to make one.
ReplyDeletepretty fabric and I love the little cap sleeves. I don't think you should worry about placing of the dark pattern as the overall effect is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI think the dark spots could be a whole lot worse - like lower - and there are a few other dark spots throughout the front. The shirt looks great and I think the dark spots won't even be noticed when you wear it.
ReplyDeleteI think it's really cute! I would have never noticed the dark spots if you hadn't pointed them out -- I was busy looking at the "lines".
ReplyDeletei think it looks great anina!
ReplyDeleteI also think it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI am with mamaurchin, the dark bits could have been in a much worse place! LOL
ReplyDelete(I hate sewing clothes too though, somehow they never work out just right enough for me.)
