It's not going to happen

It's very important to know when to admit defeat. Even when it's really, really early in the race. Feeling more and more stressed out, I decided to look through the entire calendar and quickly realized that, even for an obsessive industrious person like me, this is not doable. January alone calls for 6 quilts. I'm pretty sure the compilers of this calendar did not have people like me in mind when they did this. People who would actually see this as a challenge. It's probably meant more as an inspirational thing...

Anyhoo, I think I'll just make one or two little quilts a month from the calendar. Quilt 1's blocks are all made but that's it. I'll hopefully be able to show it off by Monday.

In the mean time, here's Block 7 for the Quilt-a-long:

(Still all made from my stash, by the way)

  2. I don’t think you can call this a defeat! Making just one or two a month, my dear, that’s still a huge amount (to me....) Your block 7 looks great! I’m working on mine right now!

  3. You know we already have a crazy quilt lady. If both you and Amanda Jean did the crazy quilt thing it would be really hard to keep up.

  5. Six quilts a month is a bit too much! I have that same calendar although mine has different pictures on the front. As always great looking block.

  6. That calendar would make me feel lazy and worn out by the end of the month.

Anyway, Block 7 looks really lovely.

  7. Wow to many quilts in the pot make the soup stressed....okay maybe I was reaching but seriously I am happy to make a couple a year. You would really have to sew round the clock for six. Can't wait to see how this one comes out!!!
