Where's Summer?

If anyone out there has a little bit of extra Summer they don't need, please send it this way. Yesterday it barely made it to 60. Today we're celebrating the fact that it may get to 65! Tomorrow's forecast is 58 degrees. Just awful, I tell you!

On a brighter note, on Thursday Chara and I sewed up a storm over here. She made a log cabin pillow cover which I'm sure she'll share soon. I started a new project that's been brewing in my mind for a little while.

Aurora
and Jo got along famously.

Chara worked on a project from her quilting class.

And her pillow cover.

A lot of scraps were generated.

We were so busy, the camera had a hard time keeping up.

  4. I'll share some Oklahoma summer with you! Our projected high is 92, and after yesterday's hurricane-like rain & hail storm, the air is thick and heavy. Sixty-five sounds like heaven to me! :)

  7. People always go silent and moody on me, when I tell them I'm sick of California sunshine, so I won't say it...

But I am a winter person, already craving the few weeks of the year when I get to wear jeans instead of shorts...

    I'll shut up now.

  10. Our whacky Pacific Northwest "summers" is just Mother Nature shining down us, and giving us that wonderful quilting weather. This is what I tell myself at least. Last night I actually turned the heater on!

I love how Aurora and Jo got along so well, and the nice little scrap bowl between them. What a special sewing day! I'm ooing and aahing over the photos and diggin' all that warm red and the Ikea curtains. Swoonapalooza! That has got to be THE PERFECT red paint color!

You photos look like a magazine shoot Anina!
