Just because

A teenie little giveaway.

1. Just leave a comment here and answer a burning question:
Do you talk to yourself?
I was in the grocery store talking to myself about different pasta options and wondered if anyone heard me and thought I was cuckoo. I talk to myself all the time when I'm at home sewing but public "self-conversation" may be a little more rare.
2. If you mention my teenie giveaway on your blog, leave another comment telling me and I'll enter you a second time.

I'll do the drawing at 7:00am PST on Tuesday.

  3. Wow 203 comments. I guess I don't stand a chance, but I love Moda and I love your blog.
I don't talk to myself out loud, but my mind is going 100 mph. That's why I don't turn on the TV or radio. I like it totally quiet so I can think.
but I have a daughter who does.
Maybe those with most imagination are the ones who do.

  4. Yup...hate to admit it, but I do talk to myself.
What's even sadder is...when my kids reply to something I've said, but realize I wasn't speaking to them. They don't listen when I AM talking to them, but listen when I'm not. Typical!
Oh well, guess it's one of those "gotta be there" moments.

  5. I do talk to myself but now people just think I'm talking on mycell and so I don't get such strange looks anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I thought everyone talked to themselves. I work by myself in a glass room. People walking by my window always wonder who i'm speaking to. Keeps them wondering. I also talk to my computer screen, the dog (who listens very carefully) and my longarm (lizzy).

I do talk to myself. Mostly at work at my desk. Unfortunately, my office-mate talks to himself as well so there's a lot of "Were you talking to me?" going on!

    ReplyDelete

    Also, I love Oh-Cherry-Oh!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have been talking to myself as long as I can remember. I think it is more like muttering. I used to be embarrassed when people I worked with caught me talking to myself, until I realized that I wasn't the only person who did it. I also thought the tendancy to do this ran in my family two of my sisters also do it!

  40. i have conversations in my head all the time...the problem with that is that sometimes, i expect my husband to understand what i'm talking about when i start to talk out loud (after 10 years he's getting better at it)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I do but never realize it until my 6 yr old says "um, mom, who are you talking to?" Kids sound so cute when they're confused!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I definitely do, especially when I'm problem solving. I'm not sure if I do it in public - no ones ever called me on it!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh yes I do. Thankfully I have never been caught...that I know of anyway.

Although if so many of us our self-talkers, why should we be embarrassed if we are "caught"??

    ReplyDelete
  46. I have to talk to myself to keep myself straight!! I can't follow instructions as well if I don't read them to myself-out-loud.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh absolutely! It sort of came about as a result of being married to an engineer for the past 12 years. Those who are very familiar with engineers know what I'm talking about :D I also talk to the plants in my flowerbeds -- especially when they are doing particularly well -- a little positive affirmation goes a long way.

  48. Love the charm pack! YES, I talk to myself. I talk to myself all the time. Use to hear it was ok unless you answered yourself. Guess I'm loony as I answer myself all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  49. 250 comments. That is a lot of people who talk to themselves...

Of course I talk to myself, all the time, in public and private. Sometimes it's the only way to get a decent conversation - and to have someone laugh at my odd sense of humour...

    ReplyDelete
  50. Pretty fabric!
I talk to myself a lot! Even with people around, then I say to whomever is around "you don't have to answer me, I'm just talking to myself" Can't say I've ever done it in public though!

    ReplyDelete
  60. um, yes, I do talk to myself. I didn't realize just how much until a customer kept saying, "pardon?" because I was talking to myself as I was ringing up her sale (my way of keeping straight all the items I keyed in on the cash register...) LOL

  67. I talk to myself all the time LOL! You would think with 4 kids at home all day long I wouldn't need to...but I still do. Sometimes I will talk to myself about a recipe I am working on, or my "chores" that I still need to get done for the day. Its like I am my own personal reminder.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Of course, I talk to myself!! What really scares me is when I answer myself!! hehehehe! Hubby thinks I'm crazy anyway, because I carry on conversations with our farm animals!! Now if they answer then there may be a big problem!!

PS - what a GREAT giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Yes!! Usually when I am doing math.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Funny question. Yup - since having kids, I talk to myself. Alot. I think it has something to do with spending big chunks of time without other adults around, narrating things instead of having conversations: "Are you hungry, baby? Do you want some milk? What about cheerios? Do you want to read a book?" etc. My baby just stares back at me, as her older sister did. I then talk to myself in other situations as I'm so used to hearing my own darn voice! I'm hoping this will stop once they're both fully conversational.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I definitely talk to myself, but I usually remember not to do it in public. Singing to myself, on the other hand, I do without even thinking about it.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I talk to myself all the time, but since I read somewhere that Einstein talked to himself, I consider it a sign of genius.

    ;)

    ReplyDelete
  79. I don't talk to myself, but I talk to my kids alot about things that I don't really want their opinion about. "Should we get this one or that one." They answer "That one." I say "Hmmm, we'll get this one" which is the exact opposite of what they've just indicated.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I don't talk to my self ... but I do talk to my cat, Trudy ... and to other drivers who do dumb things when I'm driving ... does that count?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Talk to myself? You betcha! That's not so bad, it's the "answering yourself" some say you need to watch out for...

    ReplyDelete
  82. I must admit I do. Most of the time it is just in my head but, more than I like to admit, it does come out when I am at the computer, or sewing, and sometimes at the grocery. I usually look around real fast and hope that no one was close enough to hear. lol

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I talk to myself in the car! But that is easy to make it look like you are singing to the radio!

    ReplyDelete
  84. i talk to myself in my head... but not out loud... and my mom always said it was ok to talk to yourself as long as you don't answer yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  85. i talk to myself in front of the mirror, especially if i am prepping myself for an interview or important conversation. i also like to talk to myself in the car sometimes. one time a room mate caught me and it was slightly awkward!

    ReplyDelete
  86. I talk to my self. It helps my children to talk to them-self too. I think it's good.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I talk to myself out loud a lot! But it's mostly me trying to remember the answer to a question I asked someone else. Kind of like saying it out loud jogs my memory. However, I don't typically hold conversations with myself out in public! I saw some other comments about making noises and talking to other "drivers", I DO this all the time. My kids think it's just too funny, me talking to the driver in front of me who can't possibly hear me, but it makes me feel better to get rid of the frustrating feelings towards other drivers rather than hold it in. How's that?

P.S. I love, love your blog!!

    ReplyDelete
  88. I talk to the tv when I see something that I think is ridiculous. Also, I talk to other drivers who follow too close. Otherwise, I am pretty quiet.

  91. Yes, I am always talking to myself, and here lately I found myself muttering on about no one picking up after themselves.

  94. Great giveaway!

I do talk to myself. Mainly at work and at home..not usually in public. I share an office though...so my "office-mate" looks at me strangely every now and then. I usually talk to myself when i'm trying to figure something out and am frustrated..usually with sewing :)

    ReplyDelete
  95. Yes, all the time. My husband is a musician and travels a lot, so I often find myself talking to the dog. This week both the husband and the dog are gone, but I just keep talking. I also catch myself talking in stores, work and out in public. No embarrassing stories, I usually stop myself before it gets out of hand.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Yes I do, mostly lately when I am playing on the computer... and cooking, and driving, and really anything else. Sometimes I am the only one that listens to me talk! So why not talk to myself! :)

  98. I talk all the time, so I suppose one could ascertain that if I am alone whilst talking, it must be to myself (do I sound super smart here? I'm trying to make it sound like talking to yourself is normal and all the scholars do it). Sometimes I play it off that I'm talking to my cat..

  111. Ooh, I totally talk to myself! Lol! Most of it is in my head, but the little voice in there has been known to have actual conversations and disagreements with itself. It'll say,, 'hey, I like that' (about a craft item or something) and then it'll reply 'yeah, me too!'. And then I'm like 'dudes, you're both the same person!' But then there are 3 of us talking and I'm thinking... does that make me slightly crazy?! :-)

Ahahaha :-) Anyway, thanks for the chance to win. I've been coveting one of these for A-G-E-S but am too poor to buy one :-) So fingers crossed!!
