After searching high and low for a little wrap skirt/cover-up to wear over my swimsuit, I finally caved in and made one yesterday.
I've had the pattern for years (McCalls 2192) and had to modify it a bit (the waist was about two inches above my belly button).
I bought the fabric at Hancock Fabrics for $5 a yard a couple of months ago.
All in all, I'm very impressed with myself. (See those cute flip-flops?)
Sea and surf, here I come!

Much better than anything you could have purchased and it's perfect with your sassy flip-flops! Have fun!!!
ReplyDeletethat is so cute! I was looking for beachwear today, too. ugh. there is slim pickin's this time of year.
ReplyDeleteOh you will enjoy your holiday!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you will look like a pricess with the little skirt!!!!!
Well, that is precious...and it sure beats anything out there in ready to wear. I love it and the colors are scrumptous! Plus, you must not have a lot to cover up based on the width of that precious skirt...I fear my cover-up would have to be a bit wider!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holiday...I'm not far behind you on hitting the beaches...we're going to Costa Ricca...we'll have to compare notes when I get back...I've never been to Hawaii...so I would love to see how the 2 compare.
Blessings...
Teresa
