Tiles or Scales?

I had to make a fish-themed block as part of a gift quilt.
Trying to find appropriate fabrics, I found these yellow "Roof Tiles".

Fish Block
Amazing how taking something out of context can sometimes change your perception.

    I always look at those prints and see fishy scales...actually this us the first time I've seen them as 'tiles' (and only because you pointed it out) lol.

    Nice block, definitely looks fishy to me! *wink* :)

    That is perfect - very clever to think outside the box...could have been made for a fish theme!
