Phew!

Only parents who have sent kids off to college will understand how much relief this brings.

  1. awesome! My son applied for (and got accepted) to OSU too, but ended up going to U of I instead. It's definitely a stressful time in one's life! For parents AND kids! My son is in his second year now, and I swear it's not any easier on me! Good luck to you and yours!

  2. I remember waiting for the "fat" envelopes when my sons applied to colleges. Once the first one arrives, RELIEF, 'cause you know they are going somewhere!

In Holland you first srlect your field of study and then you try to be accepted at the Uni of your choice.

  12. Congratulations to him (and you too!). I do remember this time last year... what my daughter loved most of all was this Christmas break... no looming applications, no assignments, just RELAXATION!!!

  13. Wow, so different from when my daughter was accepted. She just waited for the BIG vs. little envelopes to know if it was ACCEPTANCE vs rejection! How silly is that? I like this one much better. I wonder what their rejection letter looks like :) Or, better yet, what do their BILLS look like? I bet they are pretty too :) Have fun picking one. That can be pretty stressful too, but once you visit, you will just know which one is the right fit. Sounds weird, but one will just feel right.
