I don't make New Year's resolutions. I think you can make a "right now" resolution any time you want.
That being said, the office/sewing room has become a space I cannot function in any more.
Cluttered with all kinds of stuff I don't use on a regular basis.
Art supplies
scrapbook supplies
old software
old computer cables
books that don't inspire me
recipes I'll never try
etc.
Not to mention assorted piles of fabric and unfinished projects.
To ensure a productive year, I HAVE to tackle this.
Step 1.
The shelving - before
Stay tuned for the "after".
(Yesterday someone new arrived in the sewing room. I will reveal her soon.)

Come over and organize mine when you are finished Anina! But mine is also the guest bedroom!!!
ReplyDeleteNo way. You are playing on a really unlevel playing field here. Your "before" looks like my after never did! LOL.

Oh I have to clean and de-clutter my sewing room too. I just get so distracted and start working on things. haha. NEED TO FOCUS!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your after.
Can’t wait for the reveal! Someone new... can you plug her in... LOL???
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that! I tried to tackle some of my shelves this week...ugh. I really wish I had a curtain to hide them away so I don't have to look at them! :P
ReplyDeleteI get that way a lot -- where I can't function because of the disorder. I think what I can tolerate in disorder is a little more than you, though, because that already looks organized to me. Can't wait to be inspired by the "after." :)
ReplyDeleteI bet you're finding all kinds of goodies as you sort through and reorganize. Can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean. I knew before Christmas I would have to do something about this room. My original idea has changed, but I will be working on my room today also.
ReplyDeleteI started on mine in October, still not finished, but at least I can work in there now. So if I can stop working long enough to finish the room, then it will be all good.
ReplyDeleteOMG. have you've been sneaking into my house taking pictures...'cos I swear that looks just like my shelf! LOL I have a stack of magazines just like that in those very boxes and like you...they are on my to-do list.
ReplyDeleteLooks forward to seeing the after shot.
Your before picture still looks more organized than some sewing rooms - including mine.
ReplyDeleteYour before picture still looks more organized than some sewing rooms - including mine.
ReplyDeletecould you also please show a photo of that curtain/rod system you have going in the room. My small space is dominated by a wall of bookshelving and no matter how I arrange it, it always looks messy. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI need to do the same thing! You are not alone, my friend. Can't wait to see your 'after'.

I agree with you - make a "right now" resolution anytime! Organizing is such a great way to start the year - looking forward to seeing the after picture!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Anina! And would that someone happen to have a plug on one end?
ReplyDeleteI happen to be working on my room too. We're putting up some shelves to hopefully help out. I can always use more though, lol.
ReplyDeleteYour before dont look terrible! It looks pretty good. I have worked as a professional organizer and I must say I have seen worse, a lot worse!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun... a makeover!! I can't wait to see the "after" photos".
