That's horrible!! You should block those people from your site!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool block! Don't let the turkeys get you down. I'm not doing this quilt along, but I've really enjoyed the party! Thanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting us quilters a free quilt along. I don't know why people are complaining, heck it is FREE!!. Anina thanks again for a wonderful job, well done.
ReplyDeleteAnina, don't worry about the haters. For each person sending you a demanding email there are probably ten readers saying "Oh, she'll get to it eventually."
ReplyDeleteSome people are just impatient. They'll learn a lesson about it eventually.
I would like to weigh in on what an awesome and generous thing you are doing with this quilt along. I am enjoying each block. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your time and creativity in this quilt-along. This is most generous of you.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed the retreat and get the chance to go again!!
Thanks again Anina!
ReplyDeleteWhat’s up with those complaining people? You’re sharing your time, skills and creativity when it suits you, not them!
I think your quilt-a-long is FABULOUS... and your tardiness gives me time to catch up! :)
ReplyDeleteKeep going at whatever pace suits you. People who aren't appreciative can go make their OWN quilt-a-long.
Sorry to hear you had to deal with the negative emails. It always amazes me when I get them too. I love this quilt, and am looking forward to working on it a bit later.
ReplyDeleteSome people are always demanding or have a complaint, and about the only thing we can do is ignore them. I'm new to this blog, but have been following your Dear Jane site for some time. It's been a great help to me! BTW we seem to have the same taste in reading material.
ReplyDeleteWhat?! I just don't know what is wrong with people these days...You are doing so much work to give us all a free, wonderful quilt a long...just know they are the minority! Hope you had an amazing time at the retreat!
ReplyDeleteReally?? How dare you give us free instructions for a beautiful quiltalong! It's perfectly acceptable that most people would charge for this stuff, but you force it upon us for free! *dripping with sarcasm* ungrateful sods! *dead serious*
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that the internet makes some otherwise normal people crazy! Why people would say something by email that they would never dream of saying in person is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteI for one am loving the quilt-along and the blocks I've made so far. I figured that your retreat might delay things a little.
Thanks for the time and work you are putting into the quilt-along.
Thanks for the patterns. I have been saving the pdfs as you post. I have other projects in the oven but can't wait to do this one with the perfect fabric. When you first posted a picture of the quilt I was sure it was going to be out of control tricky to get all of those pinwheels and squares just right, but seeing it broken up block by block makes it soooo much more do-able. Thanks for making such a great pattern available. I can't wait to see everyone's quilts.
ReplyDeleteUgh! Sorry about those impatient folks. That's just not cool. I hope you know that there are lots of us who are excited and happy that you are able to take time to share projects like this. You rock! :)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to tell you I think it is awesome that you are offering this free quilt along. Sorry you are having to deal with impatient people that seemed to have lost their manners.
ReplyDeleteI can not believe people sometimes. I am having a great time sewing this quilt.
ReplyDeleteThose people are the ones you just delete the email and put them on the block email list.
THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDERFUL FREE QUILT ALONG !!!
ReplyDeleteSorry you had some disgrundled people bothering you...can't imagine why...you did post that you were going on a retreat...lucky you! I am so loving these blocks, really pretty. Thanks again.
Love this block!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt-along. The colors are wonderful and I appreciate the time it takes to get posts online. It's not always easy to find the time. My blog barely gets updated every 2 weeks; it's MY blog and I'll post when I want to!
ReplyDeleteThat can be your new mantra too. lol To heck with the naysayers.
I just happened to stuble upon your blog yesterday. I should have been studying, but I was blog hopping. It's a great stress reliever from college work. And reading and seeing all of the beautiful quilts helps me to feel more conected even though my time is scare. But I have to tell you even in my crazy life, I have decided to join your party. Never too late huh! I hope to work on a few this weekend. I just can't express enough how overjoyied I was to see this, pinwheels are awsome. Keep up the good work, don't let others bother you.

Complain, NO WAY! I have been stalking you today for block 7, but it gave me time to make the first 6 :-) I am loving this. Thank you for the motivation, inspiration, and ,of course, your time!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I can't believe the audacity of people! I'm sorry to hear that insensitive, selfish people upset you....consider yourself **hugged**
ReplyDeleteJust when you think you've heard it all....really, emails complaining about not getting a FREE quilt block in "their" time... Love the blocks, thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteI am loving this quilt-along. I was awaiting it from the first moment you showed us a sneak peek. Thank you for doing this and making it so easy. My sister-in-law and I are both doing it, and we LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteDon´t pay attention to them, We know that they don´t make the world go around...
ReplyDeleteI´ll start mine in a week, hope so!
I really appreciate people that give freely of their time and talents so I can make a great quilt! So many of us are thankful...keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteJust a note from a friend to say hi. Ignore the negatives and keep on keepin'-on. You're doing great.
ReplyDeleteI'll be at the Rosemont quilt show on Friday, wishing you were going to be there too. :)
whatever...as if they are the first to stitch it. typically that type collects and produces nothing but complaints. hee hee. i love it so far...and i am behind too! I don't need any badmouthing though...I provide my own. :)
ReplyDeletethanks!

What? Out of the goodness of your heart you are giving us this wonderful free quilt pattern. I am a week behind but am having a qreat time doing these blocks. Most of us have other jobs and things happening in our lives. Obviously there are a few people have nothing else to do and are complaining about it. How rude.
ReplyDeleteOMG !!!! I can't believe the nerve of some people!! Complaining about a block for a quilt-a-long being late? They seriously need to get a life.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anina for all your hard work making this quilt-a-long for us, it is hugely appreciated.
Go you !!! for telling them where to get off. You rock !!!
I finally got around to starting my pinwheel blocks... and I've done 6 of them yesterday and today! They are SO much fun. I already have plans to make this pattern again with different fabric.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, don't let people like that upset you Anina.
ReplyDeleteAnina, you ROCK!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt along, I am quite far behind but having fun catching up!
Blow off the complainers, they aren't worthy of your time and efforts or this quilt along! AND, remember that there are more of us who appreciate what you do and there are always people who are not happy, no matter what anyone does.
