I may be back

I think I may be ready to come back to blogland. I miss all the interaction and love over here.

I've decided the adopt a "work before play" strategy. That's what I used to do before I became addicted to blogging and I'm getting back to it. It's worked really well for me the last two weeks. I've been going to the gym 3 times a week and getting the house sorted out before 9am.

I'm also still working on the frugal/green thing. Stay tuned for more.

I may (or may not) post less frequently, but I think I'm back.

Here's what I'm working on right now. Scrappy Illusion and Spice Market both basted and ready to quilt.

  1. Welcome-welcome!
I admire your disciplined approach to blogging, keeping home, exercise. I know that I have things way out of control, and I need to adapt balancing skills, like you have. I am inspired.

  2. YOU are so-oooo good...I need to adopt your work before play rule...I mean I had it when I was a child...my mom gave it to me...then again after having children...they made me "obey" that rule...but NOW that I'm on my own...I'm a bad rule follower...maybe I'll try this...next week...lol...

    Welcome..."maybe" back!! Love it!

    Blessings...

  4. Welcome back Anina!!
    There ain’t no maybe baby!
It’s all about the balance indeed.
Exercising 3 times a week, yep, I tru to do the same. I’ve become kind of a lurker the last 11 days and don’t feel like coming back yet. It’s amazing how much I achieve without blogging.
I love your quilting goodness in the pictures! They are cheerful. very cheerful!

  5. Sounds like you've got your juggling act under control. I know what you mean about work first play later...I can't sew with a dirty house...for me it's clean first sew later! :o)

  6. What a beautiful photo. I hope you can maintain the balance you need to keep yourself happy. Sometimes it's overwhelming to me how much fabulousness there is out here in blogland, and I get overwhelmed. Sometimes stepping back for a little bit is all I need. Hopefully that's all you needed because I <3 your blog.

  8. Glad you're back. I've been having the same trouble with blogging lately. Starting to feel obligated...not the way it's supposed to be. I'm kind of doing a similar thing. Limiting myself..when an hour is up...I'm done. Hope this works for you.

  12. Glad to see you back. Balance is always tough but it sounds like you are at a good place. The quilts look beautiful. When my daughter was born and we cut back on our lifestyle I did a lot of reading on frugal living and I just wanted to recommend "Miserly Moms" by Jonni McCoy. My library had a copy and it is full of easy ways to cut back. Just thought I share that. Nice to see you back!

  18. Welcome back. Just do what works for you until you find *your* rhythm and the priorities that work for you. Leading the Dear Baby Jane group is a big obligation and I'm surprised you can squeeze in so many other thing.

  22. Welcome back! We missed you. I'm trying to work on the 'work before play' concept. So far it's not working too well. I don't think I have the disclipine you do. I'll have to work on it. Better stop now and get to work. ~Adrienne~
