Better?

It's been in the high 90's here the last couple of days and scheduled to be so for the rest of the week.
We may hit 100 today. In Seattle!
My little upstairs studio gets hotter than you know what really quickly so I haven't been getting much of anything done lately.
I am trying to reinvent my disaster from the other day and I think this may work.
It's a pity I can only sew for about 30 minutes each day before I get fried up here.
Better?
What do you think?

(BTW: Christmas in July ends this week)

  1. This is beautiful.
I am sorry about the heat. I finally got one of those window AC units for about $100 on craigslist.
It is THE BEST thing I could have done for my sewing room.
best of luck. What beautiful taste you have.

  2. Sounds like you may have to start working all night and sleeping all day. Like they do in Las Vegas. :)

I think this looks super cute, but I guess I didn't notice anything wrong with your first one...the disaster as you call it.

    Very nice, both of them.

  3. Seriously? 90 in Seattle? That's just crazy (and icky)! My sewing rooms gets stuffy in the summer too, so I take over the kitchen table now and then.

I like the striped sashing you added. Cute!

  8. I think it looks lovely!

It is so warm in my studio too! I haven't really been able to do much crafting either. I actually took a bike ride yesterday in the heat to run my errands :) I couldn't bear the thought of a hot car! :)

Really hoping it doesn't actually hit 100 today!

  9. I like the stripe a lot. It ties things in nicely.

Yo're welcome to come play at my house, in the air conditioning. My sewing room is downstairs and extra frosty. I could use some help making order out of my mess.
