Baltimore Christmas - first block done!

Minus the eye. Still figuring out how to tackle a teenie circle.

    Looks fantastic! I've had better luck with needle turn than yo-yos when the circles are pencil eraser size. And there's always satin stitch.

    Well done! That's the thing about hand applique, it requires time, lots and lots of time. But it's such a rewarding feeling in the end. I love it.

    What method did you use on the pear stems? That should work for the eye ball.
    BTW Your applique is AMAZING!

    To make all sizes of circles you could use a set of Perfect Circles by Karen Kay Buckley. They come in two different sets.

    Wow, it's lovely, and only 25 hours? I think I'd still be working on it 250 hours later! Can you embroider an eye or is that cheating in Baltimore quilts?
