I apologize if I'm boring you to death but this is basically all I've been working on.
On the advice of my 17-year old I'm now adding hexies in the round instead of doing individual flowers.
It's starting to look a whole lot like a pillow cover...

A coin photo to show scale
I HAVE made one other thing.
For my quilt group's quilting bee. Real, not virtual.
i didn't realize your hexagons were so small!!! You're even more amazing than I thought :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you showed the scale with a coin because I had no idea you were working with such small hexagons! Amazing! Love all those strips of green in your quilting bee project.
ReplyDeleteI have been following your progress on this hexie project and just loving it. So much so that I had to start one too. Like I NEED more projects.....
ReplyDeleteThe hexies are so perfect! And they're itty bitty! How are your eyes still attached? hehe
ReplyDeleteAnina, it's stunning! I just love it...but don't you want to make it into a king size quilt? :o)
ReplyDeleteI hadn't realized those hexie's were so small. I think they are size of some I have been thinking of doing. I was contemplating making some flowers about that size and then attach them for a three dimensional look on a wall hanging.

Love the pinks!
ReplyDeleteWow, those are adorable itty bitty hexagons. A pillow sounds great to me!
ReplyDeleteWoman, you are insane with the tininess of all those hexes. But you're MY kind of insane.
ReplyDeleteIncredible work.
loving how your hexagon project is shaping up! I didn't realize how tiny each one is until you placed the dime in the photo - wow. I adore that green string block. Cool effect with the mix of greens.
ReplyDeleteNot boring me at all Anina - your hexies are amazing and beautiful to look at! Keep 'em coming!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is beautiful and just screams "Summer" and "Nap"... 2 of my favorite words! But I do love the green fabric combo... great fabric choices!!
ReplyDeleteBut the pink hippo playing 'hide 'n seek' in the bee quilt is too cute, too!
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! Your hexagons are so small and perfect and this quilt is lovely and fun. A beauty.

ReplyDeleteLove your hexies, I still have some waiting in a drawer in the same size. Are you working on a string quilt? Lovely green colors.
ReplyDeleteWow, they really are teeny-tiny! I'm loving seeing this come together - please don't stop!
ReplyDeleteItsy bitsy and gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love your 'happy' hexagon quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is wonderful too!
