I was so excited about this and then almost forgot!
Since we should probably all have started our Christmas sewing by now (yeah right!), I thought I'd share my Christmas quilt.
I made this last year with leftover fabric from strippy runners I'd made to sell at a friend's studio sale.
I had been wanting to make a zig zag quilt for a while and Christmas was right around the corner.
I love this quilt and can (almost) not wait to take it out of the closet.

ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! Makes me want to make one just like it! I really love the white zig-zag in between each print. Makes it feel like ribbons in a field of snow. I also love red for the binding.

What a beautiful Christmas quilt! It would be just as at home (although admittedly not as necessary) in the summer heat we have at Christmas as it is in the snow you have!

ReplyDeleteQuilts shouldnt be in closets...They should be hung on the wall, lain over stair rails, draped over a chair or put on the bed...I love your Christmas quilt! Why only display it 8 weeks a year! Pull that baby out and drape it over a chair arm where everyone can appreciate it every day of the year..It is beautiful! :)
