Does anyone host their photos somewhere other than Flickr? Are you happy over there?
Flickr has really been unreliable recently which affects this blog because all my photos come from there.
In happier news, the Little Gems quilt was just featured on Craft Gossip.
(Thank Flickr for the photo-less post.)

Flickr has issues

I use photobucket and it has worked for me just fine - nothing worse than photos not working.
ReplyDelete¿picasa?
ReplyDeletei don't think it's much better than flickr but it's something. Yahoo products are suffering a lot of budget cuts in that bussiness. With flickr something weird happens, the free service works better than the paid service
cheers
Bummer! I haven't had any problems . . . congrats on the craft gossip feature!
ReplyDeletePicasa. It's a Google product so works well with Blogger. :-)
ReplyDeleteI use Photobucket (have done so for years) and I LOVE it. I get what you mean about Flickr - one the swaps I wanted to join recently had as a requirement that you be on Flickr, and I REALLY dislike it.
ReplyDeleteTry Photobucket. I feel very confident you'll like it!
I'm not great with the computer programs but I learned how to download my photo's to flickr then I re-size them and save them to a file where I then insert them into my blog.

Oh dear - I just went pro the other day and I wish I'd seen this post and the responses first! I also use webshots but much prefer the flickr layout. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteHi, I use Photobucket and have for the last 5 years, never had a problem.
ReplyDeleteI use Flickr, no problem. Daughter uses Photobucket, no problem either. Sorry that you are having issues. Congrats on the feature, that is really cool!
ReplyDeleteI also use Flickr (Pro) and haven't had any problems so far (knock on wood). Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI love my Picasaweb, it's part of Google so the username and password are the same. Picasa software is the best, most intuitive software application I've used, I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI use Picasa too! I do have a flickr account but I use picasa for all my blog stuff. it works seamlessly with blogger and gives you lots of options. like most of my albums are "private" so that you can only see the pics on my blog and not just in an album... helps a lot with tutorial pics!! good luck!
ReplyDeleteI bought my own server space and I upload all my photos there. I used Webhostingpad.com and it’s like $5 a month for pretty much unlimited space. When I first bought it I only used it for photos and used blogger for the blog, but eventually I migrated my blog to my server and installed wordpress and its super peasy to maintain. I don’t like using those outside places for my pictures because they aren’t 100% reliable and I don’t like them having access to my pictures anyway.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
