M-e-l-t-i-n-g

I have towels and sheets in front of all windows that don't have blinds.
I sewed a little but now I don't want to turn the iron on because it'll heat up the house.
It's 86 degrees in the coolest part of my house - and it's not even 8:30 yet.
Saturday, oh Saturday, where art though?

  1. I take it that where you live you do not have air conditioning? I feel for you really - I hate a hot house. I hope your hot spell leaves you soon.

  5. I am planning on reading a good book today. It is just too crazy warm to turn the iron on or even the sewing machine! :) I am with you on the Saturday where art though... If we say it even do you think it will get here faster :)

  6. My hubby has begged for 7 years to put air cond. in our home. I just did not want to put forth that sort of money for Oregon summers. Ha! This week? Me thinks I might re-think the whole air cond. thing. I have blankets and blankets on windows. Fans everywhere. And it's still almost 90 in our home. And generally our home stays so cool! Even my computer is hot to the touch! So off I go. We're headed to a little river today. I'll be dreaming of Saturday. Which day is this? LOL

  8. Stay cool by taking cool showers and air drying and hang up damp cool cloths on fans if you have any fans. I think you must be getting our normal southern heat. It's so cool here and in July! It's has always been horrible here in summer.

  14. I feel your pain minus the humidity. . .it was 110° (yes, not a typo) here in Northern Cali yesterday. Thank God for the pool! Here's to all this weird weather coming to a screeching halt. Happy sewing!

  15. Do whatever you can to stay cool! It's time for the weird weather to stop! I'm still waiting for summer to get here in Northern PA. We have only had 5 days above 80 all summer long! Send us about 15 or 20 degrees and we can all be happy!

  17. I am totally dying in this heat too! We have been leaving the house for the day and finding cooler places to go. The movies, library, dip in the lake at the park. Anything to not be in my hot house. I can't wait until this is over!!!
