Summer Star

It took a while but, after 50+ years on this earth, I've finally come to the conclusion that there is no way to stop life from interfering with plans, no matter how meticulously crafted.

In the last couple of months, my father-in-law's health steadily declined and he passed away at the end of April. What followed was planning a funeral, traveling to Texas to attend his funeral, followed by sorting out everything from Social Security to investments to Medicare to bank accounts for my mother-in-law. It looks like the dust is finally settling, so I'm going to attempt a reentry into some sort of routine.

The following pattern and kit have been out there for a while but I never shared them over here.

The little Summer Star quilt finishes at 33" x 33", which makes for a perfect wall hanging or table topper you can have out all summer long.
I have kits (which include a free pattern), as well as PDF patterns available.

It looks so cute on my living room wall!

I HAVE been working on my Temperature Quilt, so if you've wondered what's up with that, I'll have a post for you very, very soon.
