Introducing Win-some Wednesday

Back in June I did a blog post about the pressure blogging and owning a store at the same time were putting on me.  Mostly because I felt I couldn't keep up with all the giveaway craziness out there.
I made the decision to keep this blog about my projects and not as a marketing tool.
And I am still of that conviction.

However, I also feel like I want to share some goodies with you from time to time.
So I bring you... Win-some (like it?) Wednesday.

This will be a low key event.  With small giveaways.
All you have to do is leave a comment on the giveaway post before next Wednesday.
That's it.

Today two readers can win a fat quarter of this fabric:
Because I'm feeling a little nostalgic.

(I've also posted a poll in the sidebar. I'd really appreciate it if you put your two cents in the hat.)

It seems that the translator does not help much. I think I have to leave a comment so that I do. But not quite understand.
Thanks ..

What sweet fabric. I'm with you, I get really, really tired of blogs that do nothing but promote their business. They do the reverse for me, make me NOT want to support them.

oh that would be the *perfect* fabric to cover a journal I am making for a friend of mine. She's going through a rough patch and was told by her therapist that journal would be helpful. I've been looking for the perfect fabric for the cover and, by golly, this fabric would sure fit the bill! :-)

I have missed reading your posts. The fact that you are posting again is enough prize for me. The giveaways are to me a little annoying. So many people post just to win and it is a lot to wade through for some good advice or wisdom. Regardless of my view I think it is very generous of you to give of your time and whatever else you offer. I Just like the content of the blogs.

Kare said...

Thanks for sharing and I was so surprised to see the votes on your poll as I thought for sure I would be in the minority, but I wasn't!

"Good friends nourish your spirit" - how true this is.

the FQ is so cute, giveaways are nice but if there were none I think all but a few of us would still be here.
Finding out there are a ton of like-minded people "out there" is lovely and seeing pictures of beautiful, fun, simple or exquisite quilts everywhere is icing on the cake.
Knowing I'm not the only one who makes the same mistakes, sometimes repeatedly :) is reassuring too!
I hope you can find a balance between blogging and the rest that works best for you.
