Then you close the sleeves and put the sweather inside out, the sleeves with the right sides out, then you pin the seam of the sleeve against the seam of the sweater (take care with left and right sides of the sweater and the left and right sleeves), then pin the middle of the sleeve to the shoulderseam, devide the remainings parts of the sleeve to the sweater. I always pin first, then I take lace cotton and before sewing permanently with the yearn I turn everything inside out and look if it fits (my gosh, in Dutch it seems to be much easier!)dutchcomforthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02986021480546345435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1988970489162944173.post-53670124835042416272007-09-12T14:26:00.000-05:002007-09-12T14:26:00.000-05:00the cardigan is gorgeous. i think bridget's idea ...the cardigan is gorgeous. i think bridget's idea would work. or i have always sewn the shoulder seam and then centered the sleeve in the sleeve spot, sewn it in then sewn up the side of the sweater and down the arm....if that makes sense.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1988970489162944173.post-72680427339867332012007-09-12T13:06:00.000-05:002007-09-12T13:06:00.000-05:00Busy girl you are today with all the school pizza ...Busy girl you are today with all the school pizza lunch load in your car.

I cannot help you with the cardigan as I suspect I shall never advance past knitted washcloths and scarves. I did a sweater that way and I pinned the sleeves and then basted them i with crochet thread - then I sewed them. I approached it kind of like a fabric sewing project - turned the body inside out and the sleeve right side out inside it.
