I think the mojo is back. Now just to find the time...
This morning I knew I had to make Cathy's block for SC3.
She mentioned that she likes geometrics and I remembered a little puzzle John once sent me when I won a giveaway.

It wasn't exactly conducive to piecing (I don't do inset seams) so I redrafted it in EQ5 with some minor alterations.

Lots of little squares and triangles later:

I'm quite pleased.

Ooo! What a cool block! And the fabrics work so well in it too. Beautiful!
What a great toy!
And a very impressive block.
It's fabulous! Who would have thought you could use one of those puzzles for quilt making? I guess there are quilt ideas all around us.
This is gorgeous! That puzzle looks REALLY helpful!
Ooooh! Can I call a quilt block sexy?? Love the fabric choices - and yay for no inset seams!
I like it! So pretty in those fabrics too.
Wow - it's gorgeous! It's definitely back!!
I love it! Just so unique. We have that same "tile" board. Bought it when the kids are little it is a great visual.
My kids had that puzzle! In fact, we might still have it somewhere. I never did do a quilt block from it, but let me tell you - yours is FABULOUS! I love it. Stunning.
WOW, is all I can really say.

That puzzle looks so cool! I wonder where John found that. All three versions look so complicated! I love the fabric version you pieced together - it really works.
What an intriguing block! Are you making a whole quilt? Love how it looks...
