The First Sixteen

I couldn't help it. I had to start sewing the nine patches together.
The First 16
Aren't they pretty?
I can hardly wait for the June blocks.
Oh, and there WILL be a July swap too. I think 48 blocks will make a really nice quilt.

  15. I received my blocks today and the sizes range from 6 inches to 6 3/4 inches with only three measuring in at 6 1/2 inches.

I had planned to sash the blocks but as I am new to this I'm not sure how to do that with such a variation of sizes. Any tips or tricks that you can share to help me with this would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

  17. Excellent - A third opportunity to get the 6.5" right! I'm entertaining a disappearing 9P sort of thing, maybe only some of the blocks, leaving others original. We'll See.

JODI.MARIE - Maybe you can resew? Especially the larger ones will have enough fabric. I've done that with some block exchanges and been happy with the result.

  29. Yea! My envelope completed its swim from Washington to Hawaii yesterday and are those blocks fun. I am most amazed at the variety of what is medium and dark in peoples' minds and stashes. Looking forward to what comes in the next mailings.
