Junuary

Yes, that's what it is around here. They're forecasting 6-12" of snow in the passes!

My dogwood doesn't seem to realize that winter's still here. So pretty!

We're empty-nesters this week. It's going to be very, very strange. I'm planning on getting some things done, including painting the new fireplace mantel (remember?), which will be the final step in the project. Next we're moving on to the kitchen. This will be a little more of a costly project, I'm afraid.

  3. i had to leave a comment because when i saw your title and the first 2 sentences i knew you were writing from seattle. i am looking at gray skies here in renton and wondering if i slept thru spring and summer. keeping my fingers crossed for summer or at least spring weather for june 21, 1st day of summer. ~jonah

  5. We have more of a Juny! The wheather is Summerlike for weeks now. But... the rain and chilly temperatures are coming our way... to stay!

  11. Crazy...snow in the passes! I needed mittens at the beginning of the month and yesterday it was nearly 100ºF!

  14. Holy Moly!!! Snow??? In June???? We're having temps reaching 100 degrees for the past few days... and it's hard to even get out to walk the dog in the evenings! That dogwood is beautiful!
