Scrappy Illusion

Well, here she is...

Even though the blocks look like they're set on edge, the quilt actually consists of 16-patches and pinwheels in rows. Funky.

I spent an entire day piecing the backing because just patching together pieces of fabric looked less than pretty.

I did the binding by machine. I think this will stand up better if washed frequently (and it's quicker).

50"x60" and in my Etsy store, because I just don't need another quilt.

It's beautiful, Anina! OK, so do you have any machine binding tips?

Breathtaking! Those bright colours and another quilt at the backing! I love the ‘trompe l’oeuil’ created by the pinwheels!

I love it!!! The colors are so bright and cheerful. How do you do the binding on the machine though? (I have 3 quilts that need binding and I am absolutely dreadingit - hehe)

I liked it from the first photo, but when I scrolled down to the photo of the back...wow! I have a very strong desire to go play with spotted fabric now. If only I had a stash of spotted fabric...

That is so beautiful! And the illusion of the blocks being on point is fun... I have to concentrate to see the pinwheels, but then all of a sudden...there they are! I love the colors and the pieced back is wonderful.
