No tutorial

There's no tutorial here. I took the old cover off, traced the pattern onto the new fabric, adding a little bit for the hem, hemmed it all around, threaded elastic through, and put it on the ironing board. Oh, and I did add a little bit of batting underneath because I could feel the metal of the ironing board through the flimsy foam it came with.
Around here you can't take photos without an audience.

  2. Wow, that looks great! I really ought to follow your suit and make one myself... no one should have an ironing board cover as ugly as mine!

  5. When you wrote that you traced the pattern on the new fabric... I thought you meant you traced all those little flowers on your new fabric. Then the light dawned.

New ironing board covers are a such fun. Makes me ALMOST want to iron.

  9. What timing! I just got a "real" ironing board this weekend (no more tiny ones for me) and have been wanting to make it a pretty cover. I can't wait to try it! Thanks-

  13. Love your little audience :)

The cover looks wonderful! I really need to make one of these soon... What type of batting did you use? The foam that came with my ironing board is just terrible.
