It's a mitten!

Now...do I knit another one or pretend that I'm Michael Jackson?
I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday.
Following the resolution of millions around this time of year (so boring!), we're attempting to shed a couple of pounds around here. The sad state I'm in became VERY apparent yesterday when I could only do 11 (girlie) push-ups! It can only get better from here...

  1. I love your mitten! I went to the gym yesterday for a spinningclass so I could eat some more bites... I wonder what girlie push-ups looks like!

  5. Wow! they look great. As far as the weight loss I can tell you that a good bout of food poisoning/stomach bug can really get you closer to your goals.

  7. That mitten is gorgeous but I do hope you knit a matching mate to it.

I know what you mean about the poundage accumulation as that woe has struck my house, too. Well, actually, it's struck me even though I was trying to pretend otherwise. I told my husband that I look and feel like a short, squat toadstool--he just laughed.

  10. That mitten is gorgeous!! Definitely make the other one, you don't want to be anything like Michael J.

When I was in the Army the best I ever did was 56 pushups in a row. (In 2 minutes). Now I can barely do 2!! Keep at it and they will build up- I am planning on hitting 56 again by the end of 2008!!

  11. The second one is never as much fun as the first one, but you need another one before Spring. (Says the girl who has another sock to complete...) I have a friend that rewards me with little presents when I complete projects (I have a "few" knitting bags around the house.) Maybe you could treat yourself to something nice as soon as that second mitten is done.

  12. Beautiful mitten, makes me wish I could knit. I haven't started working out again since the Christmas hollidays, hopefully we will get back into that groove again soon.

  13. That is too pretty to wear, but I'd say make another and wear them. Or give them/sell them to someone to wear!

  14. You must make the other. It's to pretty to go through life alone!!

  15. I love the mitten... the colors and the pattern. Make another quickly so you can model them for all of us.

See you at the virtual gym!
    I'll be there!

  20. You've never made mittens before? That looks soooo complicated! BRAVO!

Your mitten (trying something new) inspired me to start carving out my own dough bowl...by hand! It is fun to do something completely different, isn't it?

Hey, you did 11 more push-ups than I could do! *grin*

    Happy New Year!

  21. I found you through another blogger! I love this mitten! It looks fabulous. I am not a knitter, but rather a quilter and sewer. But I recognize talent when I see it!

  22. That is 11 more push-ups than I can do:) Although in new years resolution sort of spirit, we got a gym membership on new years day (there was a sign up special that day only), and I have already taken my first yoga class & plan on going to aerobics tomorrow:)
